Time To Pack

Packing is an enormous task when you are moving into your new Hoboken home.

Here are a few tips to make your life easier when it’s time to pack:

Allow extra time. Start packing as soon as possible, the more time you allow the better. This will give you more time to find extra boxes and deal with any additional problems that may pop up.

Get rid of the junk. Don’t pack stuff you won’t need. That includes anything that’s out-dated, broken or never used. Go through every room, closet and storage area, including the attic, garage and basement. When you get settled into your new home, you’ll be happy to have less clutter.

Label all boxes. It is a very good idea to be aware of the contents of your moving boxes to avoid anything getting lost in transit. Make a point of labeling the outside of the boxes and keep track of how many boxes you have for each room.

Keep track of essentials. Label a box of items you’ll need on your first night in your new home. Items like, bed sheets, prescription medicines, snacks, paper plates, pet foods, soap, and toilet paper are things you may need in a moments notice.
